Victor Van Dort is promised to be wed to lovely Victoria. However when the nervous groom is practicing his vows the corpse bride wakes from the grips of her sleep and thinks that she is now married to the shocked Van Dort. He travels to the underworld and "lives" in his "brides" world, however this thoughts are still with the fiance' he left behind in the land of the living. Despite a more colorful existence than the Victorian world he left behind, his heart still belongs to his one true love.
