Justin Cobb is in every way your ordinary 17-year old high school student except that he still sucks his thumb. His parents Mike and Audrey are worried about his continued fixation and try to get him some help. When his dentist Perry Lyman hypnotises Justin to quit, and Justin is diagnosed by the school counselor with ADD, Justin begins a perscription induced existance of questionable over-achievement. A coming of age story with modern relevance about the reliance on drugs to conquer the complacence in our younger generation.
