Percy Jones is a hard working African-American loan officer in the Jersey suberbs. When his daughter Theresa brings home her fiance, Simon Green, she has failed to mention one minor detail. He's white. Percy keeps a watchful eye on the city boy who is dating his little girl, even going so far as to sleeping in the same bed as Simon. As they get to know each other, Percy and Simon begin to bond through the trials surrounding Percy's 25th wedding anniversary. As the big day approaches, Percy realizes they have more in common than he thought.
