This is the story of Roxie Hart a Chicago chorus girl looking to be famous shoots her unfaithful lover. While in jail she meets Velma Kelly, also in jail for murder, but she killed her sister and her husband for having an affair. Velma another chorus girl is currently enjoying much media attention care of attorney Billy Flynn. That media attention though is short lived since Billy has taken Roxie's case as well. Roxie is now the most famous murderess in town on her way to fame and freedom.
