John Kelso is a magazine reporter, who is sent to Savannah to write an article on one of Jim Williams famous Christmas parties. Kelso is welcomed into the house and giving whatever he needs to write his article. But on the night of the party, a murder is committed in the house, and Jim is one of the suspects. The murder trial being more intriguing than the party Kelso decides to stay and do his own investigation, which the rest of the movie focuses on.
