A retired soldier Chris Vaughn is returning to his hometown. When he gets there he discovers his old highschool rival Jay Hamilton has shut down the once prosperous lumber mill and set up the town to help him in his criminal activities. Chris cannot handle this so he enlists the help of an old friend, Ray Templeton, then becomes elected sheriff and vows to turn the town back into what it once was. Even though his mission endangers his friend and his family he will not stop until his home is home again.
