Mark Sway, a street smart kid, witnesses the suicide of Jerome Clifford, a prominent attorney whose client at the time is Barry "the blade" Muldano a mafia hitman. Before Clifford kills himself he tells mark where the body of Senator Boyd Boyett. Mark is then captured at the scene by the police. The FBI and mafia soon realize that mark probably know more than he is saying. It is now up to an inexperienced attorney to save Mark's life and get the information to the right people at the right time.
