Carl Stargher, a mentally disturbed killer, has built a glass encased chamber in a rural farmhouse somewhere. He calls it the Cell. After a siezure Stargher is comotose and soon apprehended, but not before another victim is put in the cell. With only forty hours to live and a comotose killer the police look upon child therapist whose new procedure is to actually enter the mind of someone and help them from the inside. Now she must enter the mind of a killer to find where the girl is before time runs out.
