City of Angels, inspired by a modern classic, is about an angel whose job is to watch over the living. He begins to find his job difficult when he begins to fall in love with Maggie, a surgeon. When Seth's not quite mortality begins to become more of a barrier than a gift, he must make a huge decision, wether to give up his angel powers and become human so he can be with Maggie, or return to being an angel and never see her again.
