Justin Quayle is a low level diplomat with a globe troting wife that is somewhat of a loose cannon. His wife, Tessa, is in a remote part of Kenya trying to uncover the unsavory secrets of a pharmaceutical company operating in the country. When he receives word of his wifes death, Justin uses his connections to travel across three continents in search of her killer. The story jumps back and forth in time to follow the romance that brought Justin and Tessa together and how love cannot be denied.
