Disgraced college basketball coach Roy McCormick has been suspended by the NCAA for his temper. So when he finds himself without a team, Roy is apprached by a junior high school to bring their team of misfits out of the basement and away from being the laughing stocks of the league. When he decideds to take the job he's not sure what he has signed on to do. But is reputation is at stake, because if he can take a college program to top level why shouldn't he be able to turn a bunch of junior high kids around.
