A stunning documentary brought by Werner Herzog who was allowed exclusive access to hundreds of hours of home video footage shot by grizzly activist Timothy Treadwell. Warner paints the visage of a troubled Treadwell that finds solace in the habitat of the huge grizzlies of Alaska. Along with his girlfrind, Amie Huguenard, Treadwell follows the grizzly through various stages of their lives. But when a rouge bear gets the scent of the pair, Treadwell and Hugeunard's studies can only end in disaster.
