Based on the highly successful novels by Clive Cussler. Lead character Dirk Pitt comes alive in this adventure seeking lost American gold on the African continent. When a deadly plague affects the citizens of Mali, Eva Rojas from the World Health Organization is sent to investigate. Pitt and his research ship just happen to be in the area at the same time. While in Mali, Pitt starts to investigate his own mystery of lost Confederate gold from the Civil War. With the help of assistant Al Giordino and Rojas, Pitt continues the adventure.
