The Terminator was built to withstand the passage to the past to hunt down a future freedom fighter. Traveling back from the year 2029, the Terminator is the the hunter for a race of machines that rule the earth in the future. In this future, human freedom fighters are led by John Connor. The Terminator is sent back to eliminate John before he can even be born by killing his mother. Causing pure carnage across modern day LA, Sarah Connor tries to hide from the powerful Terminator.
