One of Chief Martin Brody's two sons, Mike, works for Sea World in Florida and is in charge of opening a new exhibit that features a "glass" tunnel under water to observe fish in their natural habitat. Mike's younger brother is visiting to see the grand opening. Unbeknownst to the Mike, a massive great white shark has snuck into the lagoon housing the new exhibit. Soon, swimmers, divers, and others start to disappear. By the time the shark is discovered the whole exhibit is in jeopardy. Mike must make a daring attempt to save the park.
