Gino Felino, a Brooklyn cop, is about to go outside and throw the ball around with his son when he gets a phone call that tells him his good friend Bobby Lupo has been shot and killed in broad daylight by drug kingpin Richie Madano in front of his wife and children. Gino tells his captain that he can find Richie but he needs to be left alone. Gino goes to all of his hangouts and his friends but just misses him every time. Richies employers are also upset with him and want to find him, but it seems Richie doesn't care if he lives or dies.
