Jim Phelps and his team's mission is to stop a traitor from stealing and selling classified information. The plan is going perfectly, when the team is ambushed and all of them end up dead except for Ethan Hunt. Ethan calls the director and plans to meet with him, but during the meeting he realizes that the mission was the mole hunt and now they think he is the mole. Ethan escapes and now must work with the enemy to find out who framed him.
