Seymour is an orphan who is taken in and given a job by a florist. Seymour spends his time dreaming of the shop assistant audrey and doing remedial tasks. One day after an eclipse of the sun Seymour notices a strange plant. He buys it and names it Audrey II. Seymour soon finds out that the plant has an appetite for human blood, and keeps getting larger and larger. When the plants demands keep growing Seymour thinks the plant might have an agenda of it's own.
