The FBI has recieved information that a Russian organized crime boss has hired a deadly hitman called the Jackal, to kill the director of the FBI. The problem is that the Jackal has no identity, no one has ever seen him before, except for one person. Declan Mulqueen is in prison when an FBI comes and asks him if he can identify the Jackal, he says yes and is hired to help with the investigation. Will they get to before he hits the target, or are they gaurding the right target to begin with.
