Evan Treborn's(Ashton Kutcher) father is in a mentall institution. Evan's mom hopes that he will not follow in his fathers footsteps. Evan has blackouts and cannot remember anything from these times. They have been happening his entire life. In college he finds a way to remember these events and a supernatural way to go back in time and change the way things happened. But when changing things and not liking the way things turned out, Evan tries again, and everybody is happy but is Evan.
