During summer vacation Danny, the coolest of a group of highschool kids called the T-birds, meets Sandy, an Australian who just happens to be moving to Danny's highschool this year. But Sandy does not fit in with the cool female at school known as the pink ladies. But Danny at the beach is different than Danny at school, after all he has a reputation to keep up and cannot be seen to fall in love with just one chick. Sandy not fitting in very well is feeling very alone. Now Danny has a very tough decision to make.
