Paleoclimatologist Adrian Hall has just witnessed the breaking of an ice shelf. After giving a speech about what could happen because of this but now being to worried because it should be a while is surprised to find out that it is happening right now. Multiple hurricanes, tornadoes, tidal waves, floods and the beginning of the next Ice Age are beginning now. His son who is in New York for a scholastic competition is right in the middle of all this. Now while everybody is heading south Adrian must go north to save his son.
