After an expensive piece of art is stolen, insurance agent Virginia Baker talk her agency into letting her try to capture the master burglar they believe is behind it, Robert "Mac" Macdougal. Virginia goes to him offering a job stealing a very valuable mask, Mac suspicious of her makes her endure much training before he will do it. Mac soon learns of who she really is, but the intrigue of an 8 billion dollar job, and his attraction to her keeps him involved. But in the end who is playing who.
