In the year 2047 astrophysicist Dr. William Weir, who is haunted by the memory of his wife's suicide, joins a rescue mission to salvage his lifes work. The mission, he and a group of astronauts are sent to investigate and rescue the Event Horizon, a spacecraft capable of traveling faster than the speed of light. Their arrival triggers something that is beyond human experience. This thing is more dangerous than they could of ever imagined, and the consequences are great.
