Charlotte 'Charlie' Cantilini is engaged to Dr. Kevin Fields and planning a fairy tale wedding. That is until her future mother-in-law, Viola, enters the scene. Two young boys, Bill and Stan, from New York are traveling through the south. They stop at a conveniance store to pick up some supplies and then leave. Little do they know that two more teenagers driving almost an identical car have just killed the clerk. Bill and Stan are arrested and charged with murder. Knowing they cannot afford an attorney they enlist the help of Bill's cousin Vinny, an attorney who has never been in court. At first it's a disaster, but it soon becomes apparent that the only one who can save them is, Cousin Vinny.
