Chevy Chase is back as Irwin "Fletch" Fletcher once again. This time his recently deceased Aunt has left him her broken down mansion in Louisiana. So Fletch goes down south, and things go well for a while, he even meets a woman. But when he wakes up the next morning he finds her murdered. Fletch, the master of disguise, must now infiltrate the congregation of a greedy local preecher, who wants to buy Fletch's land to build a Bible-themed amusement park.
